PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE A
NEW "NEW" EMAIL ADDRESS....IT IS NOW:
donovan.peggy@sympatico.ca
As of May 1st 2008 we are
retiring. After 30+ years of breeding and showing we have
decided to give it all up. This has not been an easy
decision for us but the time had come. With a very, very
heavy heart and a great many tears I have placed my breeding
stock and my beloved Pugs. We have sold our home and by
mid June will have moved into an apartment.
There have been many highs and
lows over the years. I've always said the best thing and
the worst thing about breeding dogs is the people you meet along
the way. To the 99% of
my puppy buyers who were a joy to meet and deal with, I do thank
you for the wonderful homes that you have given to my
puppies. A special thanks to those who opened their homes
to my retirees. A very big thank you to my good
friends and fellow breeders Debbie & Al Rattie and Carol
& Randy Ethridge. I don't know what I would have done
without your help and support. Simple words are not enough
to repay your kindness.
It has been a great privilege to
have owned so many great dogs. Some went on to much
success in the show ring, others were just great companions who
contributed to the building of the Lindenhall breeding
program. To Bucky, Daffodil, Savannah, Tally, Willie,
Chuckie, Dusty, Domino, Eagle, Betty, Plain Jane Browne, Makayla,
Mabel, Mark, Kiana, Beta and all the rest thank you for sharing
your lives with me. Special mention to Sophie the Cavalier
and to Rey, Fiona, Audrey, Blanche, Bizzy and Louise my
obnoxious Pugs.
***
Big news, Rey has rejoined us at the apartment and is enjoying
the views from the 3rd floor balcony. Thanks Joanne for
letting him come back (although she seemed rather overjoyed to
get rid of him)....
The Lindenhall lines continue
through the breeding programs of Freehaven and Masonridge
kennels. For anyone looking for a companion please contact
them or any of the other friends/breeders that I have listed
below.

Puppies
are life long commitment so make sure you're prepared to give
your new companion a loving, interactive home for the next 12-15
years....
The
purchase price is the cheapest part of having a dog. Like
kids, there can be all manner of minor boo-boos all the way to
fatal diseases and crippling health problems. When you buy
a puppy even from the most respected breeders, you are taking on
the risks that come with all living beings.
Responsible breeders have taken advantage of what modern
diagnostics tools are readily available ~ x-ray certification of
the hips and elbows, Ophthalmologist
testing, DNA testing, studying of pedigrees, etc. In spite
of all this there will always be a chance of a problem. We
breeders have no crystal balls that allow us to see which
puppies will be affected so in spite of all our careful
screening health issues will occasionally occur . It is
strongly recommended that you have pet health insurance (your
puppy will come with 6 weeks free insurance) for at least the
first two years. Also do some research to find a good
veterinarian and don't be afraid to get a second opinion.

Goodbye......
